Yet another one of my half-assed attempts at writing a halfway decent short story. This was originally meant to go along with the latest picture of Deirdre, but it got a bit too long to just stick it in the comment box, and then I got interested in fleshing things out just a bit more. It also features Killian, who a few of you may remember from Oseille. I thought that if I was going to continue to write stories about the city, I might as well flesh him out, as I always was rather fond of him.

I'm sorry, hon. I started using .pdf files because of all the complaints I kept getting for using the .odt format, OpenOffice being my only word processor. I'd really like to be able to use Microsoft Word, at least for posting, but I can't begin to afford it, and .rtf and .txt files screw my formatting up something fierce. I can e-mail you a copy if you'd like, or if you have an InkBunny account or a Furocity account I could upload the story there for you to read instead.
DeviantArt works fine, even if I do have a bad habit of forgetting it even exists sometimes. I've even got an account there (http://rabbitswift.deviantart.com/) and after three years I should actually post something there, too.
I can't really say I blame you for not having an account at either of those sites. I only post to Inkbunny since it seems to be somewhat active and I'd like a bit of a wider readership than FA alone can provide. A lot of what you find there is pretty creepy, though. As for Furocity, the place seems to be pretty much dead in the water.
