Yes, he's smoking a catnip joint. I thought it'd be funny.
knaveofclubs drew me this awesome Sully giftart: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7357072/ and an old friend of mine commented that she missed the char...so I figured I might as well try to draw him again for art practice, cos he's a fun char with the laid-back happy attitude, and cats are easy for me to draw.
Random experimentation on the technique on this, dunno if I like it or not, but it's pretty much just a practice doodle to stretch my art muscles and whatnot. I still haven't figured out how to not take hours just to do one simple sketch though.
Also, Kinda neat to see how much my style has changed since I drew his original ref: http://i799.photobucket.com/albums/.....e/sullyref.jpg

Yeah, I read up on why catnip affects cats the way it does and why they like it so much, and apparently something about the smell from it induces a euphoric feeling, so it's basically kinda like weed for kitties, haha. XD Seemed appropriate.
And thanks muchly! I'm trying to improve the whole gesturey-posing thing, and wanted to give him a nice floppy slouchy lazy pose. :D

Thanks! And I agree...big fluffy tails are put onto things that don't have them so frequently that I felt the need to point out on that ref that his tail is not fluffy, haha. Personally, I like the skinny unfluffiness of siamese tails (but then, they're my favourite breed of cat, too).
