very nice, I was thinking about Poe today in fact, I also just got a book with Lovecraft's stories(only some) and he was heavily influenced by Poe.

haha yes I suppose he does fancy the hideous space monster a fair bit, it is to be expected though he was vastly interested in astronomy, as well as a great many subject as well. His private life, being as emotionally, and mentally trying likely influenced his writing as well, an escape from reality sadly never really appreciated in his time, but now greatly commended by latter authors, King himself attributes Lovecraft of one of his influence. King of course being one of the most prolific horror novelists of all time. I don't think any one author has as an expansive repertoire as King.
