On Sunday I got down and dirty with water, flour and glue and started pasting. At the top left, I started with the ears, wrapping the paper around the wire form I'd made. I did the same with the lower jaw (next picture) and then had to hang it from a music stand to let it dry without contact. Then I did the main skull, in the last blurry picture in the top row.

This morning I put the two pieces together to make sure they fitted. Indeed they did! The top also still fits on my head. Today I started a second layer, and also filled in the inside of the top, as pictured. I've made it kinda double layered where the eyes are, so you can't see through the, just like the real thing!!! At the bottom of the skull you can see the tiny hole I'll have to see out of... That might need addressing!
The weird blue picture is both parts drying again on my music stand.

Tomorrow I'll be tidying up parts, using my pony skull as a reference to make sure I have the details correct and that it all looks aesthetically pleasing. When that's dried, I'll do another layer of newspaper to smooth stuff out, and then probably white tissue paper to get rid of the print! AND THEN PAINT IT!!!!!
Then I have to make some teeth...
