About 4 hours after the launch I got back home in LA and noticed some weird clouds just before sunrise.
I realized that it was actually the exhaust from the burn of the Delta II's engines late in the first stage and early in the second stage hanging out 40-50km above.
What a treat is was to see this after an amazing night launch.
