Nope! I do lines as I paint. They're always just a refined sketch (here that's pretty obvious, but on things like this the same is true. Painted, not really lineart). C:
I've got one suggestion for ya' regarding your future speedpaints... might I recommend doing a few thumbnail sketches before you begin working on the final piece? It might help so that you don't get in a position where you're stuck having to do ridiculous perspective angles if you plan out some thumbnail drawings beforehand =) Just my two cents.
I usually do thumbnails/random sketches for bigger projects (and thumbnails end up saving a lot of time with those, since that hour of planning makes the 15 hours of painting that much easier) but oddly enough slow me down on speedpaintings. I think it's just combining three characters and perspective into such a tiny timeframe, lol~
