Inspired by Gerald Scarfe and his work with Hercules, I've tried my own emulation of Gerald Scarfe ponies. So it means lots of sharp teeth and arched brows with quick strokes of the pen. I can't quite emulate it. My style is very deliberate and Gerald's is very quick, sharp. Nevertheless I tried it.

If you watch The Wall, it has some pretty freaky TF sequences in it. I adore them and for some reason I decided that NMM would be kind of reptilian. So her guards would follow suit. In fact I got it into my head that with her flowing, almost sentient mane, that she could in theory turn into anything. I think it came from the first 2 episodes of the first series where she turns into the blue sparkly thing and becomes various things to trap the mane 6.

I personally think she looks good as a cobra and this was something I started to draw in work a while ago as a concept. Here, she just has the serpentine tongue but the next few piccies will have a bit more of her cobra self.
