soooo i know everyone here in FA uses it to post there art work and such....thing is im a TERRIBLE ARTIST, i mean GOOD LORD am i HORRIBLE!!! i have NO artistic skills what so ever. that being said i thought it be nice to post pictures of my form of art....BAKING!!! i currently go to school for culinary arts and iv taken EVERY baking course my school has to offer (which sadly is only 3) but this semester i was able to get into the NEW cakes and tortes class, im a part of the pilot class WOOOOOO!! the class focuses on making MINI cakes that we intend on selling to the campus. today was a free day and we were allowed to mess around with stuff for the fun of it before we bare down and get serious. what we have here is a 3 layer mini cake consisting of a chocolate cake for layer one, a peanut butter pound cake for layer 2 and a chocolate chiffon cake for layer 3. the inside is filled with peanut butter pastry cream and the out side has been friested with both simple butter cream and chocolate butter cream, EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH!!! if possible id like to hear peoples takes on my cakes and ill be posting more cakes in the near future. i promise to post better looking cakes, this was merely a pilot cake of what we plan on doing in the future to sell!!!
