Does anybody remember that song "Everything Old Is New Again" ? The following image exemplifies said song.

Back in the year 2000, my life was as suckass as it could ever be! Among other disasters, I was fired from a 2.5-year-old warehouse job (without receiving any unemployment benefits). And when I tried to go to the home of one of my co-workers (for a little sympathy), I nearly got arrested for 'stalking'!

Also, that same year, I received a large tax refund - only to lose it all, when my car (a Ford Escort) was hit by another vehicle, and it took all of the money for repair work! And the clubhouse next to the condo building I (currently) live in caught fire and burned to the ground! And, lest anyone forgot, that was the year George W. Bush became President-Elect - due, in part, to some erroneous votes down here in south Florida!

Well, here it is, 2012 - another Presidential election year - and I still have my latest job (as a janitor, working part-time, for 'minimum wage'), and I just got my tax refund - which I might have to use to repair my current car (a 1995 Mazda that once belonged to my late aunt)! And the year isn't even two months old!

In September of 2000, I'd lucked out in getting another job (as a 'file clerk' for a computer company); but, just as a precaution, I'd rendered a 'worse-case scenario' image for my RL self (depicted as a cat) - which appeared in the 'funny animal' APAzine "Rowrbrazzle". In retrospect, this image could easily be an omen of things to come for me this year!
