Been drawing dryads all morning! :) I made a set of "Mythical Creatures" stickers a while back; These are more sketches to continue that series.
But now that I look at it again, I may just make them postcards?? The ones mostly in the middle are my favs

A great mix of the dryads. I love the ones on the right with the sagging leaves. I like the one at the top left, how her breast is textured like a tree.
Again a great mix of the characters. Why if you designed a few like Cherry Blossum trees? Get an oriental look to the characters, or even other cultural references to their design. Like the one at the bottom center, feels like her hair is a big bushy afro.
just a thought I had: You might even try something like the forest spirit character from Disney's Fantasia 2000. I can't remember the symphony or the name of the story, but she had a lot of wild life going in her hair. You could do something similar with your Dryads.

There are actually 2 Fantasias. The classic one and one called "FANTASIA 2000" It was made around the year 2000 so, hence the millennium...it can't be Fantasia II, it's gotta be 2,000 XD. It was a good sequel though, great music and shorts to go along. The one I talked about is at the very end.
You might wanna take a look at Bernini work for inspiration on this theme 8)
I gotta say the middle one is my most fav and this would go so interesting with a Satyr
Or one being chased by a satyr
But yea this theme reminded me of Bernini's statue piece:

YES hhahaha, I was thinking about that piece too!
I wanted these to sort of match the pin-up stickers I had made with the first set of mythical creatures I did sometime 2 years ago... but I'm not sure these dryads would be fun stickers to cut out :/ too many sticks and twigs lol

Almost feel like my style has evolved a little more since then, which is why I'm thinking maybe I could just digitally paint a few of these and sell 'em as limited edition postcards... I have so many more mythical creatures to go :D
