as a raccoon!
Not much of a stretch. Rings? Check. Mask? Check. Profound appreciation for all things shiny? Check.

I used to have an issue of GLC where it was revealed that Ch*p was the "replacement" Green Lantern for his particular galaxy. A flashback revealed that Ch*p's predecessor had actually been a raccoon! No name was given, though. It was kind of sad that the only panel which featured the GL coon showed him dying heroicly in an outer-space battle.
*Chuckles*
Actually there's this thing going on in the DC comics where apparently there are seven different colors of Power Rings, each empowered by a different spiritual 'Drive'.
The classic color of Green has always been about Will and Sinestro has formed an army of Yellow Ring bearing beings to spread Fear about the universe.
In addition there are Red Rings representing Rage, Purple for love, Blue for Hope, Indigo for Compassion and one Orange Ring representing the motivation of Greed (what? You think greed shares?)
In the middle of all of this we also have the Rise of an Eighth group who bear black Power Rings which empower the dead to rise and wage war upon the living.
It's an event that is both cool and yet confusing.
As always Wikipedia gives us a quick and dirty version of the information needed.

At the very least it's worth a quick glance.
