This is a reworking of a rough color sketch I did for the "Ratha and Thistle-chaser" cover based on a sketch by Clare. The sunset backlighting of the final cover kind of washed out her coloring, so here's a better look at what I intended.

The markings are intentionally lopsided and non-matching since she's inspired by calico and tortie cats. It gives her an odd sort of charm. The mottled mask across her eyes is meant to evoke butterfly wings for symbolic reasons.
