Princess Sally Acorn
...there was a lot of heated discussion regarding Sonic the Hedgehog today and at some point, it got me thinking about the SatAM series and I remembered how much I LOVED that show!!!! ...yet, I never not EVER drew one of my favorite characters in that series...
...yeah, Princess Sally Acorn.
...so, here she is, just a quick sketch. I hope I did her justice. I may try her again later, but I really want to do my favorite character, Bunny!

Beautiful image! You've got the flow down just right, especially in the hair and eyes (which were always two features that made Sally look so good). She's instantly recognisable, yet developed too, looking a little older (while still utterly adorable).
If I have a point of critique, it would be that her left leg looks a little odd, but it's honestly only noticable if I actively look for it.
Well done, it's simply lovely to look at.

And there never would be. The OG timeline has Sally sacrifice herself & sadly become Mecha-Sally permanently, because following the unwanted transformation, Dr. Robotnik II/Dr. Eggman/Robo-Robotnik (all the same rotund baddie with an egg motif, essentially replacing his original SatAM-based counterpart who died years ago during a multi-verse collision) not only took a blowtorch to Mecha-Sally's face & embedded an electronic chip into her that programs her to only be subservient to him alone, but it was strongly implied that whilst installing the fiendish device, he also removed from her any remaining biological components (that is, he took out any organs necessary for biological life, like her nervous [her brain, in other words, that which created her personality and kept her memories intact], cardiovascular [her heart that pumped blood for energy & also subconsciously controlled emotional feelings, as well as her lungs, needed for proper breathing] & digestive [her "guts" for instinctive actions/intestines & colon that allow her to digest food] systems), which meant the soothingly alluring yet strategically authoritative Kath Soucie-voiced Sally Alician Acorn whom her fans (and her various romantic interests, last headlined by both Sonic the Hedgehog & according to Bumbleking Forum's discussion with controversial head writer Ian Flynn, the nanite-composed lynx form of sentient artificial intelligence companion Nicole [thereby CANONICALLY making Sally bisexual & Nicole potentially lesbian, yet still accepting of the enduring SonSal/Sonally pairing primarily for historical reasons, not to mention how it made Sally happy, on top of the base knowledge that Nicole was inherently programmed to serve her Princess's needs in any capacity]) had come to love was DEAD for good, so that, even following the 2nd Genesis Wave reboot which returned Sally back to a flesh & blood Mobian again - meanwhile controversially wearing a full attire deliberately inspired from her previous self's Mecha design that, going forward, forever deleted her classic "nekkid" sans combat boots with matching vest look that spanned multiple generational decades - she also had to start from square one once more & despite an obviously direct physical attraction between herself & Sonic in a fleeting nod to their past history that had been wiped clean, thanks to parent owner SEGA's insipidly stupid new edict embraced by its current Sonic Team members (a given, seeing as they were from SEGA of Japan, whose executives were enviously jealous of their American branch's localized success in the early 90's/Genesis era, which resulted in the "Modern" 1998 internalization of the core Sonic intellectual property outright following Sonic Adventure) that actively prohibits figurehead mascot Sonic from ever again being in a truly committed romantic relationship anymore, any ship that fans wish for the blue blur to have would now only exist as those fan's own personal head canons, as SEGA's finally had enough with the already broken fanbase's ship wars that have unfairly lead to flame bait social media arguments between stalwart SonSal/Sonally die-hards, adamant SonAmy fans & fans of other Sonic ships, so they basically worked it so that any romance to potentially exist would be created only by fan interpretation rather than canonically official (as SonSal/Sonally had blatantly been on the Sonic "SatAM" cartoon animated by DiC yet endorsed by SEGA of America when localization was still how the company wanted to market the Sonic brand concerning particular audience demographics & within the comics themselves in a on-off recurring capacity before the new directive's edict came into effect and SonAmy within the unrelated-to-SEGA-beyond-licensing nonsensical manga from 1992 that was created by Japanese publisher Shogakuken & from TMS Entertainment's Sonic X anime in its native Japanese language, as endorsed by SEGA of Japan once internalization began to drive SEGGA's in-house direction for Sonic from 1998 going forward, even if the 4Kids half-hearted American dub of Sonic X was in itself a forthrightly lambasted bastardization by comparison. Of course, in an off-topic bit of irony, the inverse was instead true, at least at the start, for the Pokemon franchise (coincidentally, Shogakuken also published the Pokemon Adventures manga in correlation with the 1995 anime's breakout success following the 1998 debut of its American dub translated by 4Kids) during its Kanto seasons - covering the Indigo League to Master Quest seasons - as 4Kids loved promoting Satoshi aka Ash Ketchum X Kasumi aka Misty Waterflower (hence the Ash VS Misty Cascade Badge gym battle episode titled "The Waterflowers of Cerulean City")/Odine (the foreign name of our favorite "Tomboy Mermaid" in certain Spanish-speaking & German-speaking countries) as the first ship introduced to viewers of the long-standing anime, with the ship itself getting fittingly nicknamed simply to Pokeshipping (it is also referred to as AAML, TwerpShip [as Jessie from Team Rocket would refer to it, especially after Brock had temporarily left during the Jhoto episodes & certainly once you find out that the American dub's inaugural voice actresses Veronica Taylor - the original voice actress for Ash Ketchum in America - and Rachel Lillis - who first dubbed both Misty & Jessie, sometimes simultaneously whenever the two females interacted, such as during the Saint Anne sinking cruise boat episode - are each both avid Pokeshippers themselves on a personal level] or even OG Bike Shipping [following GameFreak trying but failing to replicate the Misty dynamic using Iris years later, which only further upset Misty fans, still upset by the forced separation of Misty & Ash from "Gotta Catch Ya Later" & the unfair confirmation by Pokemon's writers that Misty won't ever come back as a main character outside of nostalgic callbacks, such as her & Brock's limited appearances during the relatively recent Sun & Moon season]).
(Didn't you draw Bunnie Rabbot at one point?)
That show was awesome. I always wanted to *be* one of the freedom fighters. I liked all of them, even Antoine, but Sally and Bunnie were my favorites. Tails was cute as well, and it's a pity he didn't play a more major role. Darn shame they ended production after the 2nd series.
Your drawing shows the zeal you have for the series; I think Sally herself would approve. Those eyelashes immediately capture attention. Her whole face is radiant, and you've captured that sense of prestige she had as heir to the Mobius throne, as well as that boundless intelligence of hers that you've instilled into her eyes. Excellent work on the soft tones, particularly her curves and her hair.

I only sketched her. I never got beyond a really rough sketch. Thank you! I'm very glad that you like this picture. And yes, it was DEFINITELY one of the best shows of its time. It was almost mature in its content about fighting for the little guy and saving the world. I loved it to pieces!
