Hehe. This awesome picture was done by the wonderful
vilerat (now under
zombienerd).
The original can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2046117/ though vilerat no longer uses that account.
This was a really old commission still in the WIP stage, but the image was lost due to computer crashes. I told vilerat that this was more than good enough and not to worry about redoing it, so I am finally posting it up for everyone to see. :D
I love avian predators, and while they tend to only eat insects and invertebrates outside of their normal diet of seeds and grains, the ostrich is simply too awesome of a bird to not want them to be full-blooded predators. So of course, Rodent needed to demonstrate just how wonderful of a predator they can be, by offering himself up for the demonstration. Some rats simply need to make such a sacrifice for the greater good. <3
I love the way this came out. The opening maw shot and Rodent's hindquarters sticking out, look marvelous, and just imagining that situation happening brings a smile to my face. Simply gorgeous work all around.
My thanks to vilerat for taking this commission and doing such a fantastic job with it.
I can only hope he decides to start drawing again.
