Well i did promise some more artwork and there's more to come.

To get me back into drawing again, i've decided to design my own custom box artwork for classic Sonic games. There really wasn't anywhere else to start other than with Sonic 1, which is in my top three all-time favourite Sonic games.

I'm not doing this because i think i can do a better job than the original artists. This is just a fun project to get my teeth into and i really enjoyed doing this (just as well as i've spent two bloody days on it!). Cover art like the PAL/US Sonic 2 box for example was such an iconic visual that i wouldn't even dream of topping that.

Sure, the background is a little cluttered perhaps and the logo placement isn't perfect but i'm very happy with this and its nice to be enjoying creating some artwork again.

I'm using the later blue PAL Megadrive/SEGA design for all my covers for consistency and for ease of use. Plus it's my region! XP

Hope y'all like! Any of you newer Sonic fans who never got to play the original game? You're missing out on an all-time classic.
