Finally, all is prepared. The first tenements and public buildings are up, the logging camps have begun their work and our farms are being planted. Though my may is small, this is but the infancy of a great new power in the Caribbean!
The situation of resources on this island worry me - Few minerals, and the farmland is good for little save for grass. The corporate partner who has helped me with this venture, Hathor Foodlabs International, has set odd conditions. I was not allowed to bring livestock or any meat for that matter. More worrying was that I could not bring any women along - HFI insisted they would provide the female workers in the future, once the island was up and running properly.
But HFI has funded me heavily, and promises more support in the future - I'm sure that between such backing, my excellent cabinet, and my own inspired leadership, I will turn Island de Mooerta into the jewel of the Caribbean!
