My thing for fortitude on DA.
What 9/11 showed us was that we are not immune to the evils of the world. However, at the same time, it also showed us that unity knows no distances. Whether a member nation of the EU or the smallest of South American countries, they opened their arms and their hearts to America, for which we are eternally grateful.
As an American I can only say thank you.
The picture wasn't meant to be obvious, I wanted people to actually think about it. On 9/11 we were attacked because of our freedoms, some that other nations can never hope to achieve, and so we are considered evil. They attacked us in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania, my home state. They destroyed and so, we rebuilt and are still rebuilding. Not months after the attacks, the collapsed part of the Pentagon was rebuilt and plans were commenced to rebuild the WTC in the form of the Freedom Tower, (which is the building on the right. I wanted it to remain pure white, so I didn't shade it). Life went and goes on. Though we remember every year in September, the price paid for Freedom.
I dedicate this picture to Elizabeth, Mike, and Louis, three friends that I will never be able to see, or hear from again.
