What a waste of time...
I wanted to make a new avatar that was a real attention-getter....
ya this was stupid.....
BUT if anyone can guess the exact number of drawings in this single gif, and exact amount of colors, I will do a little doodle for ya for funzies.
its friday i can do wahtever i want!!

Hmmm...given the speed at which the drawings are progressing, I'd say we're not dealing with one second at 24 frames per second - probably more like 30 fps, or possibly even higher (although the human eye has a hard time distinguishing framerates higher than 30 fps - certainly possible mind you.)
Therefore, given that, I'd wager that at minimum you did 30 frames, and potentially more like 45, 60 at most. XD
Okay, that's not the exact number, but when it comes to animation, exact numbers aren't exactly necessary anyway. XD

*snicker* I do animation work myself, so I have an idea of what to look for.
Of course, it looks like the guy underneath me seems to have already figured it out, either through a very educated guess or through taking the picture and disassembling it with something like Photoshop or Flash to get the exact count.

Aye - with the colors it's pretty tricky, since it cycles through them so fast the eye tends to blur them together. There's definitely yellow, blue and red involved, but I suspect black AND white are also involved, due to the way the flickering brightens in places. There may even be some green, though it may just be an artifact of the yellow and blue flickering so close to each other.
Heh, well, the part that says "It's Friday I can do whatever I want" DOES rather suggest that the winner will just get a doodle you draw for the hell of it, rather than working with an idea they give ya. *chuckle* Or, I suppose, it means yer not obligated to do much of anything other than have fun with us! XD
I do find it interesting that you did pretty much redraw every single frame for some 45-50 frames (depending on if you used any timing; people have a tendency to prefer using even/round numbers of frames in their work, even if the animation may require oddball numbers for some actions.) Most folks would have probably used some holds here and there so that some of the drawings registered, but the way you did it makes it appear remarkably chaotic. My word!
