So I am considering adding this element into the Martail design. Their forearms can actually split open revealing a mouth with teeth and gums and all. I don't think the arms are functional besides defense/offense.
I am trying to polish up their designs a bit more, giving Martails more hyena - like faces, and taking away the bald hands and feet. Now they have arm mouths, pretty sure. Gives me more of a reason to draw them.
Plus I like them looking more gnarly and monstery. I imagine most of the time the arm mouths are closed, so you don't really see them like this unless it's necessary.

Well, I suppose that since the lower arm already have two bones it wouldn’t be so hard to add an extra two. It will be some rather thin and weak bones though... Hnnngh, Now I wanna draw a creature with this arm design.. And just give it super large arms so those mouths would have an awesome force in them :3 Can I?
