I meant a fanzine published by a chap from BC, named Graeme Cameron. He publishes a number of minor fanzines including Auroran Lights, WCSFAzine, Space Cadet and the Fanactical Fanactivist.

I can't remember the name of this comic, which is very similair to your drawing.
It involves sky pirates, humans, furries, and lots of gold and gems.

Well, there was the original Air Pirates, back in the '60s, by Dan O'Neill. But since Disney landed on the publisher with an army of lawyers, its been out of print, and the original edition are rare and highly collectible. I've never seen one. The book must have looked rather like the Disney characters it was based on, though.

There have been other air pirates though. There's some in the movie, Stardust. Something of the sort can be found in Disney's Treasure Planet, based on the Robert Louie Stevenson's novel, Treasure Planet. And there were something like air pirates in late episodes of ReBoot.

it was web-based for a while. I don't know who did it, but the style looked very similar to twinkle-sez's work.

I remember something about someone posting something about it here, something about a small town comic publisher.

I know of Twinkle-sez. An artist whose style I admire but almost never does subject matter I want to take a second look at. *sigh*
