Meeting Of Heroes~
The meeting was fast and to the point, and also strangely the first meeting that everyone was present. With the exception of Buck who was using Skype to be at the meeting while maintaining his active information gathering, everyone was seated around a large table set up in the basement of a home tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. This was only one of many meeting places, each one secured by one of the members of the League.
Hawkeye was bandaged and spoke softly from a strike she seemed to have taken in the neck during her brawl with Watchdog, but she was able to hold her leadership against the barrage of questions that were to come. Obviously everyone wanted to know where Watchdog had disappeared to and why he was acting the way he was, and though they couldn't be sure of everything Hawkeye's encounter brought many clues to the table.
The team agreed that Watchdog was being controlled by someone, but that even though he was not right of mind he still possessed his knowledge. It was frightening to think that Watchdog had assisted and trained most every member of the League at one point or another, and that he knew not only his own fighting style by those of his team. He had provided most of them with their weapons and gear, their tactics, and even their safe houses and meeting places. It was because of this among other reasons that the meeting was made in such short notice and made to be fast.
Everyone recalled their personal stories, telling everyone what saw Watchdog do and how he did it. They recalled the veins in his face, his dull expression and voice, and his stiff though effective movements. Buck kept them updated on sight locations as he tried to figure out who it was controlling his idol hero by referencing all of the information gathered.
The League made the decision that Watchdog would have to be hunted down and put into hero's custody until they could figure out what was wrong with him and how to fix him. RabbitFoot would be unable to assist in the search because his presence was needed a few cities away in order to hold his secret identity, but all other members of the League made their stories to excuse them from their normal lives to assist. Hawkeye was in no condition to be fighting, so she would meet with Buck and keep everyone in constant contact via radio. White Squirrel would take the downtown area and keep to the rooftops, Black Squirrel would take the upper district searching the streets and alleys, and Reaper would be in charge of the industrial district, checking abandoned warehouses and office buildings. RabbitFoot agreed to drop anything he was doing if they were to text his private line and run in, which would take up to ten minutes depending on traffic, but not to text unless it's a dire emergency. Once everyone agreed on their orders, they split up and left.
As soon as his Skype was turned off, Buck knew he only had a few minutes before Hawkeye would show up to take her place as director of communications. This was fine for him, but Buck needed to make one call before she showed up. Using the same Skype, he called a cell line and waited impatiently for the other end to pick up.
Beep beep.... beep b, click. "Hello?"
"Allen? It's Buck. You said to keep you updated."
"Are you alone?"
"Yes, no one knows you're informed and assisting. Though I don't know why such a big secret..."
"Because if anyone knew, then Eddy would know, so Watchdog would know. If Watchdog knew, then this wouldn't work. Now, you ARE keeping this a secret right?"
"Duh! How many people can say THEY kept a secret from Watchdog? Had knowledge of the League that the LEAGUE didn't even have?"
"Good man. Now, tell me the situation, don't skip on details, but make it fast..."

The search lasted through the night. It was unanimously decided to continue the search through the afternoon before sleeping through the evening and beginning fresh at midnight, so some heroes made the choice to dress down to their secret identities. Littil walked the neighborhoods, picking up a cell and pretending to talk to his mother anytime someone looked like they would ask questions while White Squirrel continued her rooftop heroics. Reaper checked alleys and began asking question to local thugs, giving them a big of a rough interview if they were being stubborn. Buck kept things on the map while Hawkeye made the team give her constant reports.
It seemed like they would have to wait until the next day, but feared what the Watchdog could do while they weren't on the lookout. As the noon-day sun stood high in the sky, Hawkeye made the call.
"All units report in. Keep on com link one in case Buck here's anything new, make your way to your respected homes. We've covered a lot of ground, Midnight report to safe house three. Over."
"Hold that order." Littil sounded slightly out of breath, his microphone almost directly against his lips as he whispered. "Possible sighting. Oh, hell, I found Watchdog. I know it's him..."
Hawkeye sat right up in her chair and threw Buck a glare, but the half-deer was snoring on his bed. She quickly threw a headset at him, waking him as she continued. "Confirm the subject, what's your location?"
"It's him. He's not in mask..."
"What is he doing without his mask on?" Hawkeye sounded worried and shocked, that Eddy would risk his secret identity.
"He's.... Well, he's playing hide-and-seek."
The radio went silent for a moment before Buck adjusted his headset. "I was getting my headset on... did you say he's playing hide-and-seek?"
"Uh, yeah... he's seeking right now. Subject hiding is a young girl, probably in her mid to late teens, white fur, large ears, huge tail, blond hair with green tips. No data on her according to my mobile intel... any ideas?"
Hawkeye cleared her throat. The description was very familiar to her, but she hoped that her old childhood friend wouldn't be this far from home. Sadly, Buck had the answer for her right on his computer.
"Got it! She's in my old files. Black Squirrel, none of you would have had access to these records because you were picked up after Watchdog's disappearance last year." The League had heard of Watchdog's past, but his leaving and throwing away his mask was a subject the mutt tended to gloss over very quickly. Buck, however, had studied his past and found out almost everything about it. "The girl's name is code name Private Destruction. At least she was when she was running with Watchdog enemy Numero Uno, Captain Doom. Expert in explosives, uses a large weaponized lacrosse staff, no data since Watchdog's only two known encounters with her. She seemed to go missing."
"Private Destruction..." Hawkeye looked slightly worried, but regained her leadership and composure quickly. "Proceed with caution. Black Squirrel, back up is on it's way, keep Eddy in check, and don't let him out of your sight."
