So did you know Trent Reznor is amazing? He releases the source tracks for all his music just to encourage works like this. It even came with a plain old informal readme.txt written by him personally. I needed to do something with it as soon as I found out, and this is the result. You can tell how much Nectarine Radio I've been listening to lately.

Just a rough cut but it shows the general direction this is heading. Namely an exercise in improving my ability to focus on a project.

Added bridge and ending. The bridge is a total placeholder and sounds bad right now. Will be replaced.

I also added many more layers and tweaked a lot of the existing instruments. Wavetable synthesis is very satisfying. You sculpt complex waveforms out of thin air practically with your bare hands, and feel extremely connected to the sounds you produce. The ones I expect to change the most right now are the bass riff, the fake guitar toward the end, and the generic synth in the bridge.

Feb 12:

Drastic improvements in the bass and other instruments. The bridge and the transitions to and from it are still the roughest part, that's likely to get finished once I get my FB-01 working, and then it's done! Get your feedback in while you can.
