Mbala's Mug - Binturong
A birthday gift for my husband, Mbala, who is the best husband (and binturong!) ever! And he likes tea.
I painted this using special ceramics paints. They fire harden so they are rather durable. The actual mug is about 5" in diameter.

You and Vantid are correct - they do smell a lot like buttered popcorn. Also kind of like musky corn chips. It's a very unique scent!
Thank you for your kind words! I will most likely be offering a few commissions for these in the future, I really enjoyed working with the materials!

Thank you for your kind words! I'm going to do a few more and some serious mug-abusing to see just how durable they are before I offer them for sale. I'm told they are dishwasher/microwave safe and as durable as any nice, high quality mug, but I want to be sure. :) I will post here/in LJ when I open for commissions on them. Hopefully by around FC. :)
Thank you! You should definitely post the tea set - if I can find a good kettle I want to make an eastern dragon teapot and some matching cups. Next time I'm in the Czech Republic I think I'll come back with an entire suitcase filled with nothing but packed pottery. :>
