An H.K. Porter industrial switcher from the Armco Steel Plant in Dayton, Ohio on display at the Carillon Historic Park which has a surprising number of well maintained pieces of rail equipment on display.
Saved from a farm this engine was cosmetically restored by a body shop whose owner is friends with several of the museum staff. This is the type of museum display I like to see because a set of steps allows visitors to climb in the cab to ring the bell and play with all the controls.
Which is a point I found entirely entertaining about the park in that unlike other museums they have the sence to know that PEOPLE WANT TO TOUCH THINGS!

Oh you bet people visiting Museums enjoy touching things. (Small Porter Tank Engines are another favorite of mine.) My friends and I got nearly thrown out of a B-50 on display because I couldn't persuade my friends to stop flipping switches. Someone hit the "Bailout bell" and I got caught in the hatchway as I was trying to get the Docent's attention. We were never on friendly terms again after that.
