
I've decided I'd like to show off some of my other wildlife photos I've taken that I particularly like.
This was a particularly vivid western fence lizard, and I really liked how it came out. The bright colors make me think its a male, but I'm not certain because usually male fence lizards have blue also under the throat, and this one does not. I'm still not sure.

yep, almost all male lizards have either, blue, red, gold, and/or another bright color on the skin/scales of their neck, and many also have a bone and/or tendon that they can use to make said patch of skin stand out or up to show off said color(s) even more... thus this is most likely just a large female, that was watching you from her fence post.
