Just in time for Valentine's Day, I have a classic work of art by (the late) Lya Korda - the Hungarian-born anthroartist, member of MENSA (in both New York, New York and Broward County, Florida), and former member of Scrabble Club 276.
This is a 1979 print of two owls in love, with a third owl acting out the role of 'Cupid' (complete with bow and arrow).
This image is so incredible, it doesn't do any justice to reduce the artwork. You all deserve to see the intricate detail of this full-sized image - including the surrounding vegetation, the hearts that adorn the female owl and 'Cupid', and even the lettering on the wings of 'Cupid'. (BTW, could anybody decipher the message on each wing? I'm just assuming it's in Hungarian.)
Anyway, click on "full view", and see the painstaking work that went into said print. You'll be glad you did!
I'll have a few more amazing art pieces by Lya Korda - during 'sweeps month' (February, 2012) - so keep an eye out for them!

I have several versions of this print in different colors (brown, green, etc.), but I had to use a reduced black-and-white photocopy, in order for the whole image to fit on my scanner. Nonetheless, its detail is well worth an overall viewing, no matter what color it is!
