Hey there folks, just in time for valentines day here's a love story for you! =D
Everybody knows that Lesleigh has a huge crush on Jules... except Jules, but Julie has a plan to finally fix that... will it work or will it fare as well as her other plans? Read this short valentines day story to find out! =D
Anyway I hope you enjoy the story... as well as the cupid Petie icon <w< really proud of how that turned out.

Julie sat on her bed pouting. The tiny riolu girl had just gotten home from her most recent attempt at getting her cousin to realize there was a girl who liked him and like always it had resulted in failure. She loved her little cousin (which was odd to say since he was two years younger than her but they were about the same size) he just could be about as observant as a bag of hammers sometimes. Ever since she came to the PCA she’d known that the electrike girl Lesleigh had a huge crush on him… and by now everybody else probably knew it too. Heck PETIE of all people knew it and had been trying to help her set them up. The only person who didn’t know was Jules himself. The little knucklehead was still convinced that he and Lesleigh were just friends.
She tried everything. Arranging the two to spend more time together, the copious amounts of mistletoe she’d snuck over the twos head around Christmas, everything short of engraving “Lesleigh Likes You” on a rock and beating Jules over the head with it and NOTHING worked. She was just about at her wits end… but she had ONE last card to play. Something she was SURE would get the point across… and if not then that rock idea would start to look a lot better.

“So which prank are we pulling this time?”
“I thought it’d be fun to pull the old switch-a-roo on Lesleigh.”
“Yaaaay! I can’t wait to see how surprised she’ll be!”
“Oh somebody will be surprised… and stop bouncing around; it’s making it hard to do your hair.”
Jules giggled and tried not to fidget as he let Julie work with his hair and apply his make-up. With a little adjustment, the right clothes, and a tiny bit of padding the two cousins were practically identical (which was only slightly different than normal admittedly) this was a fact Julie had taken advantage of for some lighthearted fun. It had originally taken Jules a bit to warm up to the idea of pranking somebody… but Julie had assured him it was just innocent fun so he had gotten used to it.
The “switch-a-roo” was exactly what it sounded like. Julie starts talking with somebody and the moment she distracted them the two would switch with Jules carrying on as if nothing happened (he could do a decent imitation of Julie’s voice) till the end where he surprised the person by revealing he wasn’t Julie. He had to admit some people’s reactions to it had been pretty funny…
He couldn’t wait to see how Lesleigh took it!

Jules tried not to giggle as he hid around the corner in the school hallway. Julie and Lesleigh were just around it talking about… something. To be honest he was so excited about pulling this prank off (they hadn’t done one in a while) that he could barely focus enough to listen for the signal let alone pay attention to what was being said. He tried not to bounce in place as he adjusted his long skirt and flower printed top (both padded to give him Julie’s hips and slight chest) so they fit properly. His ears perked up the whole time for the phrase…
“Hey is that Jules down there?”
There it was! He waited for Julie to round the corner before he scurried out, not noticing his cousins bigger than usual grin as they did so. They’d done this enough the switch was quick, silent, and efficient. By the time Lesleigh looked back and said “I don’t see him down there.” Jules was standing there smiling up to her innocently as if nothing had happened. He shrugged and said “Sorry, must have seen something else… now what were you saying?” in a dead ringer for Julie’s voice, trying desperately to hide his excitement at pulling this off.
Lesleigh frowned and then shook her head with a sigh. "Right. About Jules and my feelings. . . You know how I feel, Julie. I love the little goofball. You know that it's more than as just a friend too." She took a seat and slumped in it. "I've tried everything to get that across, but you know how he can be. He so innocent and naive that he can't see I want more than to just be friends. I want a relationship with him dammit. Dates, intimacy, love. . . I just wish he could see that. . "
Jules opened his mouth to respond… and let it hang there as exactly what Lesleigh had just said smacked into his brain like a charging tauros. He stood there with his mouth hanging open for several second before he let out a half whispered half strangled sound “W-what?” Lesleigh looked up at the riolu and nodded "Yeah." She then tilted her head a bit at noticing "Julie's" expression. "Julie? Are you okay?"
Jules was breathing hard as he felt his head spin. Love...? Relationship...? His brain tried to turn these words over into any kind of understanding and failed miserably as the riolu seemed to start hyperventilating. Lesleigh hurried over to the riolu's side. "Julie?" She put a hand on "her" back and then blinked a few times. Now that she was closer she noticed that it wasn't who she thought it was. "Jules?!" And at that the riolu turned and bolted like his tail was on fire, tearing out of the room and past Julie who was waiting in the hall.

Julie had been waiting patiently outside, a small smile on her face. She had considered her plan perfect; this would finally get things through to her cousin. She certainly wasn't expecting said cousin to come bolting out of the room like a bat out of Hell. "Jules!? What happened?" She shouted as he passed her. He didn't stop, leaving her standing confused, torn between chasing after him and asking Lesleigh what had just happened.
She ended up having the choice made for her. Not long after Jules rushed by, Lesleigh soon hurried out of the room as well. At spotting Julie, she stopped. "Julie? What just happened? Why did you switch places with Jules?" Julie sighed softly. "I'm sorry… I was hoping this would finally get Jules to realize how you felt about him and. . .what did you tell him?"
"I. . ." Lesleigh blushed a bit and then repeated what she had mistakenly told Jules inside, when she’d finished she rubbed the back of her head. "I think it was a bit much for him. . ."
"Ya think?" was that all Julie could say. She took a breath and sighed. "C'mon, we need to go after him. He's probably headed home."

Standing there in just his thick diapers Petie sighed as he looked at the clothes he’d spread out on his racecar bed. He was supposed to go to the park with Anne today (the cubchoo was currently being schooled in the finer points of magical girl anime in Rose’s room… poor thing) and he needed something warm to wear… preferably something that didn’t have people stopping to ask where his mommy was every five minutes. He looked at the assorted babyish snowsuits and sighed “I wish I didn’t fit in all these baby clothes…”
BANG!! His door was nearly knocked clean off its hinges as he was hit by a flying tackle and knocked all the way to the head of his bed, landing on his pillow and scattering his plushies. He stared up stunned at his attacker and looked into the panicked face of… Julie!? No, not Julie just Jules dressed up to look like her. Petie didn’t even bother wondering why. The fact Jules looked like he’d seen a ghost (not just an expression with him) and was talking literally a mile a minute took precedence.

SMACK!! Petie didn’t WANT to wack Jules in the nose with his lugia plushie… but at that point he didn’t have much choice. The riolu yipped and clutched his nose with both paws, stunned. Petie sat up, gently pushing Jules off of him, and waited a moment for his friend to recover before asking “Yu calmed down now?” Jules blushed and fidgeted before nodding “Uh huh…”
“Good, now I’m guessing you finally figured out Lesleigh likes you right?”
“… you knew!?”
“Jules, I say this as your best friend… you were the only one who DIDN’T know!”
“Oh…”
“Anyway…” Petie put his paw on Jules’s shoulder and moved him so they were both sitting on the edge of the bed… ignoring how bizarre they looked “From what little I could understand you’re scared about the fact Lesleigh likes you and wants to be in a relationship, right?” Jules nodded “And you’re also scared that you don’t know HOW to be in relationship, right?” Jules nodded again And finally you’re scared that this might ruin your friendship.” Jules nodded once more “Well then I have just one question for you.”
“What’s that?”
“Do you like her back?”
“Wha… what do you mean…?”
“Do. You. Like. Her. Back.”
“I… I…” Jules fumbled, looking at his lap as he tried to sort through his conflicting emotions “Um….” Petie just sat there, waiting for him to answer. Finally Jules whined and looked down “I think so… I never really thought about it any so I don’t know… but I think I do…” he looked to Petie to ask how that helped him but was promptly silenced by a paw to his lips as Petie looked him in the eyes “Then what’s the problem? She likes you, you like her. Go make it work! If you don’t know how to be in a relationship then go figure it out… and next time try and do it WITHOUT tackling me please.”
Jules whined and blushed at how direct that answer was as they heard Momma call from downstairs “Jules! Lesleigh is here to see you!” The riolu’s face turned pale for a moment… before he squeaked as Petie pulled him to his feet “That’s your cue Romeo.” He said, giving Jules a brotherly grin as he led the still reluctant riolu towards his door “Come on, you’ve kept her waiting long enough already. You really think she’ll stop being your friend after all this if something goes wrong?”
“But…”
“You know Lesleigh better than that… heck with how often she comes here I know Lesleigh better than that. Now hurry on down there before she starts to come up, in case you didn’t notice I’m currently lacking in the pants department!” As he pushed Jules out into the hall they ran right into Julie. The riolu looked at Petie and giggled before regaining her composure and looking to Jules “Lesleigh is waiting for you down there… and if you don’t go down I’ll drag you down by the tail.” She said to her cousin, sounding dead serious.
Jules whimpered and hung his head at that… till Petie pulled him into a hug “Hey, come on now. You’re a great guy… sooner or later you were gonna get a girlfriend right?” the teddiursa offered, trying to lift his spirits. Jules blinked and giggled a little, hugging back “Yeah… I guess so. And Lesleigh’s fun right?” Petie chuckled “That’s the spirit! Now go get em!” he said, giving Jules a gentle push towards the stairs. The riolu stumbled for a moment before taking a deep breath… and hopping down the stairs confirming he was back to his bouncy energetic self.
They two watched him go for a moment before Julie looked to Petie “What did you say to him anyway?” Petie coughed and blushed a little as he looked away and reluctantly told Julie what he’d said to Jules. Once he’d finished she giggled and gave him a coy smile “Not bad. Not bad at all… Cupid.” Making Petie blush more and whine “Well wha did yu expect me to do? He’s my best fwiend…” Julie giggled and pulled him into a hug “Either way thanks…” she grinned playfully and gave him a teasing smack on his diapered bottom “Now I guess I need to help you woo Anne huh?” she said as Petie’s face turned even redder and his jaw dropped. She giggled and skipped down after her cousin “See you Cupid!” leaving a blushing Petie standing there with his mouth hanging open as he tried to come up with a response.
“H-HEY!! … na Cupid…”

Hermione, Hannah, Roxanne, Abigail, Vanessa, Brianna, Rebecca and others would go "AWWWWWW!" With Hermione hugging Jules or Lesleigh.
Sasha would comment on Petie's costume while in her own Cupid costume. [ and hunting down the crushes of Roxanne and Hermione to get them together with their crushes] and would go AWW as well.
Natalie would act appalled.
Axelle would go aww in private but act like a bitch in public.
Rex wouldn't give a flying rattatta's ass ether way [or attack/maim Hermione, ether one works great for him]
Carlisile would put it in the school paper and congratulate him, with Adrian doing the same [minus the school paper thing]
