Practicing design coloring, not a very effective go at it, not enough color variations. It all looks too flat. But I used a request from my journal for the practice, someone wanted to see more waterfowl, and I love Egrets. :3

Hmn while I do agree it could probably blend in a bit more, it's still a beautiful piece with a very unique coloring style =3.

I didn't want it to blend more, I like the sketchy sharpness of it, it keeps it looking like chalk, it's the lighting and the color choice that is the problem. Ah, but thanks!

Use sharper lines of contrast, like a bright yellow lighting with lines curving to fir the form of the bird?

Yeah I was thinking about yellow, but I just have a problem diving into a completely different color because I am afraid I will ruin it somehow. I just don't know what to choose, and I get scared if it doesn't immediately work.
