Guess What Hit The Printers Today?
Finished it up last night. If all goes well I'll have copies for sale at FWA next month.
I'm not really a design artist, I'm a character artist and a comic artist. But I know enough about design to know that the busier and more complicated a cover is, the less likely it is to catch anyone's attention.
So I wanted something that would make people smile or laugh, I wanted an image that would represent what Little Tales is, and I wanted something simple.
I thought about the idea for a long time and eventually this popped into my head. Gen being goofy, Uriel being the longsuffering straight man.
This was colored mostly in Sai and cleaned up and designed in Photoshop.
Uriel doesn't really work as a redhead I think.

I go to the folks at http://www.ka-blam.com They're local but even if they weren't I'd use them anyway. The whole group is run by people who draw and write comics and wouldn't print anything in a quality they wouldn't want their own stuff to be printed in. They deliver on time and if they don't they make it up to you, their website gives you a price quote right off the bat and they handle all parts of publishing if you want them to. They print the books, will sell them, and will even offer a digital version for sale as well.
They're awesome people. I can't sing their praises enough.
