on that note, im surprised its still there! on the road to hetch hetchy dam there is a winch house for an incline. luckilly its sorta hidden, and the spools and controlls are still there. Sanfran W&P took the motors and wiring for other instillations however. Makes me wonder if this motor is from that project, as it looks like the motor is superseeding the steam engine. I so love mechanical history :p
