Here's my third speedpainting ever (and this time, I painted quickly enough to actually deserve the term!). It's Xurnami the draco-yena! Part of why I made her so butch and growly is that I know her player is seriously into the recent MTG expansion with all the werewolves.

Totally got a werewolf type vibe from this pic funnily enough...but I have been reading WtA novels cover to cover recently...

PS totally love her expression and the eyes...
Maybe it's the day, but I get the impression she's making a motion, letting me know she'll have her onlooker's heart out for them to see with their own eyes as soon as she jumps up out of there

Very, very nice. I love the orange highlights, hinting at some sort of crazy lava-ish glow... but the background – well, really, just the ground – doesn't show them very much like one might expect at the crevices and such. Regardless, the effect is stunning. Excellent work!

Around the crevices, it looks like those stones should be slightly rounded, and they'd pick up just a bit of the same light source as the foreground. I'm... not sure how to express it better, I'm afraid, and it might not look as good as I have in mind anyhow, so I wouldn't worry much. :)
