The first furs you ever knew about: Santa's
reindeer, of course. Introduced the idea as
a child, right? Animals that talk, are
sentient. Ho ho ho.
Bit of a leap from there to a married bunny
and wolf, who love each other very much.
De nada. Does it stand to reason that
Christmas is very important to them too?
(Be a very short sonnet if not. Read. :- ) )

On Christmas (#27)
Odd thing, Christmas, for furs. I’ve always found
More empathy for all the manger crowd.
Did they know what it meant, that boy’s first sound?
Story says yes, and probably quite loud.
Were bunnies there? Somewhere hid in the hay
My Mother always told me. As a child
The sacred tale awed all of us. No way
Wolves could be there; think just a bit too wild.
A season for children, wolf or bunny.
Our families do it right, and with much care.
Joint Christmas, clans together, and funny.
Fangs or teeth, kids and presents: rip, shred, tear.
But adult season too, the eggnog strong.
Tall ear sports mistletoe, the kisses long.
