My cyber-weasel, Pink Deedee in Power-Girl costume.
Purely inspired by DC's newly revealed Power-Girl (New 52) costume which excludes the one element that has been a trademark for the character for so long; the "boob window."
I am adamantly pro-boob window. It was how the character was introduced and it make her any less of a powerful woman. I particularly enjoyed her since Geoff Johns and Amanda Conner rebooted her storyline back to being Superman's cousin (and give reason for why she chose an opening).

Technically, her earliest appearances as Power Girl, she didn't have the "Boob window."
I'm not sure when that costume feature came about. But I have issues of JLI from the ninties in which does not have it. Simular costume, and you can see how the feature evolved. (It was a neckless low cut top simular to iconic top, with the cape pinned to both shoulders, instead of just the one)

Power-Girl was introduced in 1976. She was introduced with the boob window and the costume she's most known for: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped.....werGirl1st.png
She's just been through a number of costume changes through the years

Ah. I see. It's not as pronounced as it's become since, and not as eye catching.
My bad. I guess I didn't remember the neck part.
Either way, it's about time they brought her into New 52. As much as I love her, she's one of the most convoluted and migrain inducing characters to figure out. If ever there was a character who needed and deserved a reboot, with a streamlined origin, it's her. As long as they don't turn her into a near sex slave, like Starfire. And if keeping Conner on for art, I'll live without the boob window.
Though I do feel it's the iconic look for her. Feels like getting rid of Superman's "S."
