Can't spend all these sonnets on what a married
wolf and bunny do in bed (yes I could :- ) ).
They got lives. The bunny works at Walmart. The
wolf's a programmer.
Well, so was I at one point (programmer, not a
wolf). Reeeal easy to write this one.
(Didn't have a cute bunny to come home to, though.
But he does.)

The [much delayed] Thursday Prompt that got this written
was 'the battlefield.'

On Work And Programming (#28)
The battlefield of screen and keyboard can
Just knock your muzzle off. An endless war.
The foe’s yourself, the fight is make the plan
For the code fly. Hard work to meet that bar.
Ideal work for predators? Could be so.
You need a fangy eye, the will to kill
The tons of subtle bugs you planted (Doh!).
Sniff, sniff: hunt them hard. They don’t run, but still.
Exacts a price, though, the mind cannot take
Too much of this; I’ve seen friends fall to bits.
Ziggurat-like complexity can make
The strongest fail in tears, all blown, their wits.
But sunny smile, cute ears, warm eyes, and more:
She is my love. One kiss all will restore.
