(This was posted to DA when it was completed, I forgot to post it here. Whoops. =P)

It's FINALLY FINISHED! @o;

I have been working on this picture for over six months. ;; Well, not straight. But on and off. I started it not long after Sonic and the Secret Rings came out and I got to see the ending movie. (Which still is utterly effing awesome! =D )

Drawing this was FUN. So so so much fun. I loved getting to draw Darkspine. OMG. And Erazor? Once I managed to get some decent ref pics of him? He was a blast to draw! =D Sketching this was just.. sheer joy. Even inking it was!

Then I started colouring it. ; And colouring Darkspine was soooo much fun. Then I did the flames and was like OMGYAY! and had fun with that. Then I started into Erazor and I'd gotten him about half way completed when I realized... my background was absolute crap. Completely.

It looks horrendous. And nothing I could do to it would fix it. I tried again and again to get what I was after, but I just couldn't. Every so often, I'd open the half finished file again and try, and fail, on the background. It was horrible. So the picture sat, untouched, for about three months.

Till this afternoon.

I finished up the two characters and then yanked the thing from OpenCanvas3 into Photoshop and messed with the background there. Of all the weird things, it was the chalk brush that wound up helping me finally get a background that worked and that I kind of liked. =D

I don't even want to know how many hours I've put into this picture now. @o;

And yes, I know, Darkspine doesn't fight Erazor, he fights Alf Layla-Wa-Layla but be damned if I was gonna try to draw THAT hideous beast. Besides! Erazor's sexy~ (3 <3

And I gave Darkspine toes. Sonic Team can kiss my butt. Sonic get's toes. Not having toes makes absolutely no sense. So there. =P

But ignore that and just... look at the pretty shiny~ You know you want to~ (D

Entirely digital, done mostly in OpenCanvas3, with background tweaked in Photoshop 7.
