The initial tints done on this are old, but I stripped the gradiant and messed with the tones, something I hadn't discovered back when I'd initially colored this, otherwise it probably would have come out this way. ;p
It was done as a sort of scene/representation of a part of Arph's life. He really cannot play the piano, though he remembers some from when he was younger. (I guess I was helpless but to put that mirror of his life and mine in there. I took lessons once, but never did grasp how to read music. What I did learn to play was through aural observation when my teacher would play whatever he wanted me to learn.) Anyhow, I like this version a lot better. The older one I'll go ahead and leave in my gallery, but I'm going to toss it into scraps.
There's a lot of little errors in here I'd like to fix, but I just don't have the heart to. I was really into sketching this one at the time and the song the title came from somewhat ate my brain. x_x I'm sure I'm not the only one who got all into Hallelujah either. Mostly this part..
"And remember when I moved in you,
The Holy Dark was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah"

but i suppose someone would have to draw alot for a long time in order to be so good at it. really, you are very good at it. this is the first photo i ever saw of yours and i fell inlove with how you make them, i guess now that i kind know your secret... sort of, i should go get a sketch pad of my own... if i can only find the money and tme for it. ^___^' anywho, thanks for your time and nice work.

Wow, this truly has a lot that makes me bounded to keep looking at this piece of wonderful work. Usually art is great to look at, but it's another matter when it also makes you have a thousand words to describe it and you've just pulled that off nicely with this. The shadows that also have the same shape as the character really appeals to the style, and the piano with the melting candles truly pay off with the feeling. This is just brilliant, you should be proud of yourself
