I found this old art while cleaning up and decided to share it.
This is absolutely one of my favorite paintings because it pretty much came out exactly as I envisioned it.
This is Raccoon, gosh, what's in a name. He's part of an indian tribe where the members are named after the animal they can turn into. Here he's busy doing one of his favorite things: fishing. And his namesake animal companions are just there to keep him company. Or maybe snatch his catch away.

i uttterly love the style here. The idea you had in mind comes out just wonderfully in this loose Japanese style. And the idea of an indian tribe that can shapeshift into their token animal is a clever idea that blends a bit of eastern and western mythos into a very warm-hearted drawing that could bring a tender smile to just about anyone.
