This is a beautiful piece, beyond what I'm currently capable of producing. My only regret was that I had to crop in the sides of the picture instead of showing the whole thing, but the covers on sites like Kindle and ibooks and others have pretty strict requirements for cover art proportions.

MARIONETTE, a historical magical fantasy set in 1870 Italy, was originally conceived by Phil Velasquez and he commissioned me to develop and write the story based on his idea and outline. It evolved into something we're both very proud of (its probably the best novelette I've ever written) and we agreed to try and sell it commercially as co-authors.

However, when I mentioned to Phil that I messed up my first try at the cover, he remembered having this artwork done for him by Minties before he had commissioned me and when the story was just an idea. We got in contact with Minties and he gave us permission to use the piece as a cover. And voila.

I'm very happy now for having such a great cover art to one of mine and Phil's best works.
