Hookahs aren't really very good for the third panel, despite popular opinion.. IMHO- the holes are too big unless you get a screen and the charcoal is a pain in the butt 8T Its only really worth the trouble if you have a group of people and a multi-hose hookah..

The THC will also eat away ar the hoses, and forget about getting the taste out if you want to use shisha out of it as well. Best to have a separate one for that.

Supposedly, there are headshops that sell hoses better suited for that sort of thing.
Vodka works wonders at dissolving all that black gunk that tends to accumulate on the glassware, but forget about trying to remove the smell.
Designated rigs are definitely a good idea, especially for serious shisha tokers!

I've always found that hashish (or charas) works best with hookah. Shatter works too. Basically any compressed form that you'd normally melt on an oilrig or hotirons. The intense heat from the charcoal will melt wax/resin easily. Of course, you better be ready to take a huge rip once you drop that shit on the coals!
My friend has a custom rig he supposedly designed specifically for smoking weed. Basically a fitted Buchner funnel with a metal ring inside, and the charcoal sorta gets spread around the outside. Not exactly sure how it works, but I managed to get some fat rips off that setup.
Not your average-sized bowl; that thing can hold 20 grams of bud easily. Needless to say double hose stems are a must, cuz there's just no way you're gonna be able take all that shit by yourself...unless you're Snoop Dogg!
