I think it's official. I'm now a fan of the legendary animated series SWAT Kats. That's because I've at last recreated the dynamic duo themselves, Jake Clawson and Chance Furlong (their respective hero aliases Razor and T-Bone will be done sometime later).
As you know, Jake and Chance spend their days as mechanics operating a salvage yard/repair shop. Beneath the junkyard landscape of these premises lies a mile-long, slightly inclined tunnel that serves as a runway and hangar, a secret known only to these guys...
...and Lieutenant Felina Feral and Deputy Mayor Callie Briggs.
To make a long story short, these ladies teamed up with the SWAT Kats boys on developing a jet fighter as a supplement to the famed Turbokat, to be flown by... well, the she-kats themselves! You see, there's been talks of expanding the SWAT Kats, which would effectively reposition its status from a vigilante supercrime-fighting outfit to an elite unit of the Megakat City Enforcers. A thought that would make you-know-who cringe, but be welcomed by most of the vulnerable citizens of the Omega-threatened metropolis.
The Turboclaw fighter, seen here, is a product of the brilliant minds of these four kats brought together. Callie, in her off-duty hours, of course, climbs to the uncompleted plane to test the electronic components installed moment ago by Jake. Ms. Briggs won't go flying off, as Chance and Felina have yet to complete assembly of the powerplant system.
The girls are dressed like mechanics so they wouldn't look conspicuous in their weekend commutes to the salvage yard.
