The gazelles have a variety of divine practices amongst their empire. This particular ceremony involves the ritualistic fattening of a subjected gazelle: The subject is fed large amounts of blessed honey over the course of a week, followed by a month of indulgence and lethargy as they are waited on hand and foot. This is a very sacred position, with the gluttonous intent of expanding the recipient's figure to become a living idol to the harvest goddess. The larger the idol, it is said, the better the harvest will be in the spring.
This yearly practice is done at the spring equinox, with previous idols usually becoming high-ranking clerics of the order. Ignoring axillary rites and unrelated ceremonies they may attend, they are the ones responsible for blessing the honey and feeding the new idols during their tenure.
