Unlike the Elder Things and the Great Race, the Mi-go remain active on Earth today. They occasionally abduct humans for unknown purposes, but being practical, they take only the living brains contained in life-support canisters. Spread throughout the universe, the Mi-Go are masters of medicine and surgery, to adapt themselves to a wide variety of planets. The "head" end is a mass of various sensory antennae.
