A commission of a character I've drawn many times, (foxtaur) this time a western theme. I enjoyed doing the explosion in the background

Aaah you are on FA! I was wondering. XD Yoinked from my DA comment! :
I r teh godzors! or something, meahahaw! Very nice, thanks for another awesome picture for my collection ^_^ Now to work it into a story I'm still writing. XD
Picture the scene, Khaos on an undercover away mission, the enemy shows up and he's gotta shoot his way out. Meanwhile up in space his ship and the enemy ships fight, in the background chunks of one of the enemy ships faill to the planet, awesome! Just because I say it is. So Nyah! :D

5 years late but hey, better late than never. :> Thought I'd respond to your question. I always thought it'd be neat to have an alien world where westerns from Earth became the theme for the whole world. (You know how our TV programs are all flying out to space, why not have an alien race/races pick up the signal and think.. hey cool! Lets go somewhere with this!) Maybe it started as an actual theme park planet, maybe it just took the culture as they understood it, either way, it became real and very dangerous! Sadly the Character is just My Khaos in theme costume to fit in while he 'visits' the planet. Nothing special.
I still enjoy the image and the ideas it generates. I too, had thought of stories featuring foxtaurs like the "Garetta" adopting a "Wild West" culture, but noted science fiction writer beat me to it with his "Hoka" series of stories. Still, you can't go wrong with "Retro Tech."
This piece is very nice. I love the color palette you used, the fiery streaks in the sky look awesome, and the towers in the background are very interesting.
I agree with the person who mentioned that the gun barrel looks a little off. I think it looks a little flat and 2D compared to the rest of the piece. Perhaps a brighter highlight along the side of the barrel would fix that?
Also, anatomically, I think the head is way too small for the body and the hind legs are too long. I love the long jacket though. :)
