I like to picture Frothy Mugs as a soda jerk with his own soda bar called The Frothy Fountain. Ponyville needs a soda shop. Frothy brews it himself and drinks plenty of it, hence the round belly. The pegasis is Swift Skybreeze.

The cutie mark does not always reflect the name of the pony. Look at Pinkie Pie, she had three balloons as a marking.

Yup; also Fluttershy's cutie mark butterflies aren't hiding at all, and Rarity's three diamonds don't actually seem to be all that rare when they're tripping over cut gemstones right and left. ;)
