Despite the most abysmal development record in Arkarian astronautical history, and a list of design flaws longer than its crew rosters, the Reitzin class battleship served the Arkarian fleet amiably for longer than the Sigjin for the simple fact that it was practically indestructible.
For the longest time the Reitzin was notorious for being slow, unmanouverable, and most famously, the four heavy cannons mounted on its warp pylons never saw action, as they had the unfortunate issue of occasionally misfiring, causing catastrophic damage to the front of the ship.

This ship was quite a laughing stock, even within the ranks of the Arkarian Federation Defense force...until the Reitzin Mk2 was developed
