I dont know for sure, but there are people in my state who legally own wolves, tigers and poisonous snakes. Its just a matter of getting certified here. Requires a lot of paperwork from what I've heard. Not sure how it works elsewhere since all states are different. I know in Delaware you can though.

Actually it you're serious, you'd call your state's proper wildlife, or AC division, also if you're serious I'd go to a site called sybilsden.com they have a ton of knowledge of exotic animal ownership... including which states are legal to own a class b animal, such as a fox...

I have done it and it is true social foxes adore humans to the point it may make your brain melt I know a guy that found a "stray dog" after a few visits to his house took it to the vet to get shots and he was all "So... i found this guy like 4 weeks ago, he is on my pouch every day and I want to know 3 things. Is he a fox? Can I keep him as a pet? Can you.. do vet stuff to him if he is a fox?" Lucky all 3 got a yes and HOLY DAMN what a pet he is! he will climb onto your solders and try to sing and just be totally adorable, the damn thing tries to dance! I WANT ONE SO BAD!
