It's called Fat Tuesday because people stuff themselves with as much food as they can before Ash Wednesday. When Ash Wednesday arrives, Catholics practice Lent until Easter. Lent is when the Catholics make a vow to not do something and they also cannot eat meat. I should know, I'm in Louisiana and half of my family is Catholic. (:
Nah, they cheaped out in every possible way. the pancakes were tasteless, not fluffy, and overcooked. The maple syrup was the cheapest bran they could find. They didn't even serve the pancakes with butter on 'em. You had to be friends with the people in charge, and even then, there was no butter, just margarine, which has no flavor to it.
