Ahg. crud. Coloring with mouse *is* torture.
I've seen 5x5 inch tablets for less than $100. Then there's always e-bay.
I'd recommend looking into it if you want to do more coloring (I know you said you're not going to do it again).

Plex has an advantage with an extra pair of arms.

Just $100 for a WACOM Graphire 4. Coloring will take far less time and effort with a good tablet, and will be wonderful fun instead of a tedious chore. You are amazingly good at coloring.

You have had a bad experience because you used a very poor tool for the job. You nevertheless got excellent results from an exceedingly crude tool - a mouse.

A $100 tablet will make all the difference in the world. Honest!
