That's right, I hang with my Boys antitank rifle. Its a 1940 dated rifle by BSA, originally chambered in the caliber 55 boys, to buy one I would have to go through special licensing for a destructive device, however this rifle has been rebarreled to 50 BMG (the same caliber as the M2 machine gun) so here in Arizona I can buy all I want and shoot it at stuff. I need a tank to shoot!

Ah.
I miss the Arizona gun scene....
I haven't even been to a gun show in, what? Two years? More than that?
I just never think about it anymore.
Now, if I won the lottery...
Good times would be had, and much ammo would be fired.
And I would have my classic Thunderbird, god dammit!
Still need to come out for a visit- but no idea when I will have the time and money together.
That, and my current internship takes my weekends...

Hm, depends on the market.
Theres currently a serious shortage of decent smiths and armourers in the SCA....But getting paid for work is not the easiest thing in the world.
(Use my old business model, copied from my Grandfather...Half up front thats not refundable..The rest due within 30 days of notice of completion of work.)
Theres a few specialists making money in the SCA, but you hear the "looking for used fill-in-the-blank" so often in the classifieds because most SCA people are cheap by nature.
(Many due to legitimately being poor...But some just because they play the "beat the price" game by reflex.)
I sell every knife I make these days, but I pace myself so I don't get burned out.
Of course theres now a million Pakistan, Chinese and Indian made weapons and shitty armor flooding the junk shops and online dealers, so a lot of folks seem to feel that getting it from a custom maker must automatically be cheaper than buying the import junk, (Because if they made it themselves it would be cheaper.. So getting someone else to do the work must be cheaper)...And they cling to this belief fanatically.
Of course, most of the time the materials alone would cost you almost as much or more than just buying the import piece...But some folks just got to convince themselves theres a cheaper way.
I should get back to my own smithing....I have a greathelm sitting in pieces that needs to be rivetted together.
Oh, and I found Noah Miller listed as one of the staff at an armoury here in socal.
I should contact him sometime and trade notes.

A friend of mine has a Boys ATR. It's a .55 projectile with a hell of a shell. It was literally apocalyptic to fire - shot out a muzzle flame that would make godzilla proud! (and every mosquito in 2 miles would wake up and home in on you...) A recoil you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy!
Glad you can haz a happy!

Nah, not dead. Last year was pretty busy and I just couldn't force myself to draw. Now that my drawing area in my studio is almost accessible I will try to draw again. I just stopped writing journals as I do not have an isp for my home computer, my only access is on my phone.
Well, there's a few things I look for when I do searches. "Is the photo rated above general"? Which it must be gated general, in the AUP. Then I just do searches with words that I'd consider commercial. Gun, weapon, car, computer, blah blah. I don't search for fursuits, usually, 'cause I don't know shit 'bout who makes them, and if they're mass produced, blah blah blah, especially since they're commissions.
Still, I've seen people post images of whatnot and unless its something really offensive or just flat out wrong (IE: somebodies dope stash) I usually blow it off.
Some people post certain things as art references for others to use or a particular pose with a item. Some post thing to get information on that others are more knowledgeable about and can help assist ID or translate.
I think you are more a wannabee Mod that has a personal bug about somebody posting images of guns or cars. Its not pornographic, not hurting anybody, not flaunting some political BS or vendetta.
You want to clean up some site, cruise Inkbunny.

I wish for people to follow the rules; I'm not so sure why it's hard for people to do such.
As per the argument of "there's worse on here", I report what I see. :/ If I see the worse, like that guy on Christmas who uploaded his dick as a general submission, then I'd report it. Assuming the mods missed it.
