hmmm, that's an interesting thought. You'd have to be INCREDIBLY strong minded to 'control' the beast. Have you read the journal?

I've read the journal yes ^_^ . the monsters feed on fear, anxiety and other negative emotions. it stands to reason that they have a limit to how much they can eat at a time, so a strong willed person would be able to shove so much food down it's throat with forced anger that it would have no choice but to become submissive to the host in order to keep from being force fed to death. it would be like one of them trying to take over the Hulk only to be overwhelmed by the pure anger the Hulk has. I know that's going a bit excessively, but it's a good way to put it.

but that would have to include other such restrictions or complications. could a Fehrr be capable of taking over a person that's become a zombie? could it take over machines capable of fear? would magical or technologically advanced creatures have a natural advantage over it? could a Fehrr be reasoned with to create a symbiotic relationship; a willing host to house and feed the monster while the host gains the abilities of the monster within for mutual purposes?

Damn, thats some good thoughts on the matter o.o

I'm going to have to think more of the Fehrr, but not right now, because i'm about ot head to Furry Fiesta and have the time of my life xD

I was wondering if you had given anymore thought to these Fehrr creatures and what they can do as well as wondering if you've considered doing these as commissions. I know I would love to get an icon and full body shot and I'm pretty sure a ton of other people would love to get them too..

I like your idea of someone being able to control them, but it would have to truly be a sadistic person to be able to do such a thing. Not someone I'd like to be around, you know? But he'd definitely be an awesome character. I can almost see him, stuck...well not stuck exactly, but fixed in mid-fehrr TF, on purpose.

the person doesn't have to be sadistic. Take Professor X from the X-Men. he'd be able to subdue one of those things very easily and without breaking a sweat fixing him in full Fehrr form while keeping complete control over his own sanity.

Otherwise the character would only need to have a reason for being in control. a Fehrr is nothing but raw emotion that feeds on the host and senselessly feeds on the flesh of others. but what if all that mindless violence could be focused for a purpose? what if the host a Fehrr possesses has a desire or need so profound that the Fehrr itself becomes consumed by the same need?

Lol, I believe you've thought this through a lot more then I have. I like your ideas. But that's also if people like Professor X existed in a world where Fehrr reside.

that's true. I like to keep the whole X-men thing out of my idea's as much as possible but it does help paint the picture I'm trying to make! and I do tend to think these things out as much as possible. I latch onto an idea and it sticks with me as I play it over and over in my mind figuring out how something can be used or act in as many ways as possible. if nothing else it lets me bring up questions other people may eventually ask ^_^

I'd like to commission one when commissions become open, but first I need to make a character sheet to base it on. Basically a grey and teal colored rat herm. :)

Fehrr have no distinct sex, and parts are usually lost in the mutation.

plus, the blackcolor is always main color, with usually only hair and distinct markings as different colors
